How classes work

We progress calmly and gradually - no rushing, no aggressive stretching. Children learn the fundamentals of rhythmic gymnastics: balances, turns, leaps and apparatus work, while building flexibility, posture and a sense of rhythm. With no more than 10 children per group, the coach reaches every child in every lesson.

Rhythmic, not artistic gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is performed on a carpet to music with apparatus - ball, hoop, rope and ribbon - with the emphasis on flexibility, grace and expression. Artistic gymnastics uses bars, beam and vault. We teach rhythmic gymnastics.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best age to start rhythmic gymnastics?

From 3 years old for a playful introduction, with real technical work starting around 5-6. Earlier is better for elite sport, but for health, posture and festival performances a later start is perfectly fine.

Is 13 too late to start rhythmic gymnastics?

Too late for elite competition, but not for the sport itself. Teenagers who start later still gain excellent flexibility, posture and performance experience in our groups.

Is rhythmic gymnastics harder than artistic gymnastics?

They are hard in different ways. Rhythmic demands extreme flexibility, apparatus coordination and musical expression; artistic demands upper-body strength and courage on apparatus.

Does my child need to be flexible already?

No. Flexibility is the result of training, not a requirement to start. We stretch children gradually and never work through pain.
